Four of my paintings are included in this group exhibition at the Van Der Plas Gallery in New York, NY. I am thrilled that several are from my Ocean Rhapsody series - this is the first time they will be shown. Chaos may characterize the formlessness of matter present before the creation of the universe and stillness speaks to a complete absence where perhaps sense is not activated, both being moments in time where the materiality of the real doesn’t surface into a recognizable object. The group show, “Chaos and Stillness,” invites artists to share their views on these states of being related to their experiences with visual and material culture.
