SETTING UP YOUR WORK SPACE
Below is a sample of what a good set up might look like. If you have a desk or dining table you can occupy for the session, that is ideal. Make sure that you have your materials neatly laid out and that you have a palette or plate for mixing, two water jars - one for mixing and one for cleaning the brushes, and several mixing bowls. Good light, either natural or lamp with a tungsten bulb is important, ideally coming from the left if you are right handed and from the right if you are left handed. If you wish you can use masking tape to tape off the edges of the paper and fix the paper to the surface you are working on. If you can leave a fairly large space in front of you empty, that would be best for our work with the composition for still life.
